Loving Little School

Isabella is loving her Mother's Day Out program. She is excited when she finds out it's a school day. So far I've heard that she's a bit of a chatterbox....hmmm...just like her daddy. Her latest highlights have been dancing to "The Monster Mash", learning the lyrics and hand-motions to "Jesus Loves Me", hearing the story of baby Moses in chapel, learning about bats and making her own to bring home and of course snacktime.

Birthday Photos

Last night while Mark very angrily was watching the Longhorns humiliate themselves, I decided to make a good choice and get out of his way. So I re-located myself to another room and read our printer manual to finally figure out how to scan. I am so excited about how easy it is. So here are some photos of our cutie pies that we had taken at the mall around their birthdays.

Pickin' More Pumpkins

We made another trip to the pumpkin patch, and this time our little Punkin' joined her big sis in exploring all the different types and sizes of the fall crop. They had a good time testing their strength as they handled and picked up many different ones.

Running for Baby Canales

Today I ran in the Chosen Half-Marathon to support our friends Jose and Christina Canales who are adopting a baby from Columbia. What a beautiful route! The marathon began and ended in Gruene, TX. The route took us along the Guadalupe River. The weather was perfect, cloudy with a light drizzle, and God showed off with a rainbow near the beginning of the run.

I have never run 13.1 miles, nor had I ever desired to do so, but a few weeks ago I thought "why not". I had a great time riding down to Gruene early Saturday morning with Lizzy Lou, taking in the beautiful scenery during the run, listening to my new playlist I had made the night before, and supporting Baby Canales whom I can't wait to meet!

Our Little Punkin'

Our little Punkin has been down in the dumps with RSV. But after a few days of breathing treatments and lots of TLC from all of us including Isabella ("Sissy, what's wrong?") she is sounding, looking, and feeling much better.

Beautiful Hair

Isabella, you were such a brave girl when you got your first haircut. No tears, but no smiles either. You sat patiently and then showed some delight when it was all done because as you picked out your watermelon lollipop you said "Isabella has beautiful hair!" You ARE beautiful! (I love how you talk in the third person!)

Pickin' The Perfect Pumpkin

I love fall! And one of the things I love doing during this season is picking the perfect pumpkins to take home. So off we went to a nearby pumpkin patch to find a few calabazas. Isabella quickly found her pumpkin and then spent the rest of the time having a blast in the jumpy house. Luckily Grandma and Grandpa were there to join in the fun and to help us jumpstart our car so we could head home.

Thank you Nana!

Mark was out of town for 6 days, so Nana came to the rescue! These are just some of the things that Nana did with us:

- cooking, cleaning, laundry
- dancing, singing, coloring
- bath time, story time, nap time...ha!

Thank you Nana! We had a wonderful time with you.
